Craig-y-Don Community Centre has successfully been running a busy Community Centre since 2004. With just a small team of paid staff the Centre, situated on Queens Road, has since its creation, been managed and staffed by local people for local people, and is a registered charity. It is a Community Centre in the true sense of the word. People of all ages, abilities and from all walks of life play an active role within the Centre. Their involvement promotes personal development, self-esteem and self-confidence.

The Community Cente is proud of the fact that, whenever possible, it responds to the needs of the community and works in partnership with various outside agencies to meet these needs. The Centre’s “What’s On” is evidence of this and clearly demonstrates the diversity of activities available

Access to learning, in a relaxed, non-threatening environment, is available to the local community with the provision of numerous Adult Education courses.

The Centre is self-funding. The Management Committee is responsible for the upkeep of the building and finding resources to pay members of staff e.g. The Centre Building Manager and two part time caretakers. Everybody else involved in the running of the Centre are volunteers.

Craig-y-Don Community Centre is a charitable organisation providing an array of activities for the local community and beyond.
